Huizenga to host town hall meeting on March 11

Sen. Mark Huizenga, R-Walker, has announced that he will be hosting a town hall meeting in Cascade Township on Monday, March 11. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for local residents to voice their concerns and discuss possible solutions to the issues affecting the region and the state of Michigan.

"A cornerstone to being an effective public official is listening to the people you represent about the issues affecting our region and state and discussing possible solutions to the problems facing families in our community," said Huizenga.

The town hall meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Wisner Center inside the Cascade branch of the Kent District Library, located at 2870 Jacksmith Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Huizenga emphasized that everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and encouraged those who are unable to attend to contact his office to share their viewpoints on the future of the state.

Huizenga represents the 30th Senate District, which includes the northern half of the city of Grand Rapids; the cities of Coopersville, Rockford, and Walker; and the townships of Ada, Allendale, Alpine, Cascade, Grand Rapids, Plainfield, Polkton, Tallmadge, and Wright.
