KENT DISTRICT LIBRARY: In praise of Career Online High School

Online

Kent District Library issued the following announcement on Nov. 8.

Alex is one of our Career Online High School students, working hard to earn his high school diploma with a focus on Office Management. Here is what he has to say about the program:

I heard about Career Online High School through KDL when a friend shared the information on Facebook. I decided to apply because I wanted to obtain a higher education and hopefully continue on to attend college after I am finished with this stepping stone.

What I like most about the program is that it is really concise and the classes are  manageable if you put in the effort. It is a lot to learn in a short period of time, but it is not unattainable. I highly recommend it not only to someone looking to obtain a diploma, but for those who would like to gain knowledge.

We, as parents, have the responsibilty to educate our children. I come from a different culture and do not possess all the tools to do so, which is another reason to further my education.

If you, like Alex, are looking to earn your high school diploma at no cost to you, please visit kdl.org/cohs.
