KENT DISTRICT LIBRARY: Get creative: Craft programs for adults

Kent District Library issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

We always offer a host of fun craft programs for kids, but we haven't forgotten about the adults. Get your creative juices flowing and and make plans to attend some of these fun, artistic programs! Click the program title for dates, times and locations.

Macramé Knots: Building on the Basics

Build on what you learned in Macramé for Beginners with Lions & Rabbits. Each student will create a unique macramé project to take home.  New to knots? You are welcome too! Pre-registration is required.

Hand Lettering

Sharpen your fancy font skills with the art of calligraphy! Using tips from the Lions & Rabbits alphabetical illustrators, you will learn the basics of hand lettering. No prior experience necessary. Pre-registration is required.

Mobile Making

Fun Fact: Alexander Calder got his claim to fame through mobile-making! While we can't promise fame, we can promise Lions & Rabbits will share the basic steps to making a hanging mobile for a baby you love or for your front porch! Pre-registration is required.

Yarn Bombing

Lions & Rabbits will explain the street art of yarn bombing as well as show you basic techniques to knitting the perfect yarn bombed item yourself! Pre-registration is required.

Card Making Workshop

Get creative! Adults drop in any time during the event and use our supplies to make your own cards, stationary or bookmarks. Sponsored by the Friends of the Krause Memorial Library.
