Michigan state Sen. Rick Outman (R-Six Lakes) recently spent time in his 33rd District meeting with constituents and recognizing some of their achievements.
On Jan. 27, Outman held office hours at Margo’s Family Restaurant in Greenville and three days before that, he met and posed for photos with winners at the 26th Gratiot Area Chamber annual dinner.
Elected in the 33rd District in 2019, Outman is a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives, serving the 70th District for seven years until 2017.
The 33rd District is comprised of Clare, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta and Montcalm counties.
As a member of the state Senate, he currently serves on the Agriculture, Commerce, Elections and Ethics, Energy and Technology and Families, Children and Seniors committees.
Outman is a U.S. Army veteran, worked as the owner of Outman Excavating and has a bachelor's of science degree in teaching and teaching degrees in biology and Spanish.
