Wolverine World Wide Family YMCA issued the following announcement on Mar. 27.
We want to make sure that our community members are able to produce beautiful vegetable and flower gardens this year. We will all need the peace, love and healing that gardens provide after this national emergency. With that, we are extending our order deadline to April 15 so that our members and community have the opportunity order from our Annual Spring Garden Plant Sale & Fundraiser. Our partnering Michigan Nursery, Living Color, will be delayed in their production as well as our Mary Free Bed YMCA Greenhouse.
This also means that delivery of ordered items might be delayed by two weeks, especially if you are ordering flowers and some of the herbs and succulents. This would put us around May 21st, which is our projected last frost date for the Grand Rapids area. For more information, please reach out to Kathy at kkoch@grymca.org. Thank you for your patience at this unprecedented time. #grymca #StayWithUs
