KALAMAZOO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: KPS to Begin Loaning Chromebooks

Kalamazoo Public Schools issued the following announcement on Apr. 20. 

On Wednesday,  April 22, high school students who need a computer and who have not already picked up a Chromebook, can pick up a loaner Chromebook from their high school. 

The loaned Chromebooks must be returned in the same condition. Students must sign a waiver must in order to receive the loaned device. The waiver will be available to be signed at the school site. The waivers are also attached as PDFs below. Students should bring their student ID card and an ink pen to complete the forms. Parents can pick up devices without their student present — as long as they have the student's ID. 

Sites will adhere to all social distancing guidelines.  The schedule for each school is listed below.

Kalamazoo Central:

Last Name — A - J : 9-11 a.m.

Last Name — K - R : 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Last Name — S - Z : 1-3 p.m.

Open Pickup — 3-4 p.m.

Locations: Auditorium, student entrance, and gymnasium

Loy Norrix:

Last Name — A - E : 9-10 a.m.

Last Name — F - K : 10-11 a.m.

Last Name — L - R : 1-2 p.m.

Last Name — S - Z : 2-3 p.m.

Open Pickup — 3-4 p.m.

Locations: Tower, back parking lot (C-Wing), and auditorium

Phoenix:

Open Pickup —1-4 p.m.

Kalamazoo Innovative Learning Program:

Open Pickup — 3-5 p.m.
