West MI Academy of Environmental Science issued the following announcement on Apr. 24.
West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science High School was ranked the fourth best charter high school in the state of Michigan! Our high school principal, Alan Bosker, had this to say about the ranking:
“Being recognized as the fourth best high school charter is a true reflection of our entire community. The heart and soul of our school are our students. Their dedication, efforts and willingness to push themselves to be their best can be observed through our academic scores and graduation rates. West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science staff have a focus on providing a unique education that centers on our students. They work tirelessly to meet needs and provide their student’s passions daily. We cannot ignore the village and partnerships that support our school through their encouragement, gifts and resources. This achievement is a collaborative celebration for our entire WMAES community!”
This US News ranking is determined by the school’s performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.
