KALAMAZOO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: New Student Enrollment Scheduled

Kalamazoo Public Schools issued the following announcement on July 6. 

Register In Person on Wednesdays through Aug. 5

In-person enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year will be held 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays July 8-Aug. 5 at the Kalamazoo Public Schools Administration Building, 1220 Howard St.

Registration is also available by appointment by contacting Student Services at (269) 337-0161 or student_services@kalamazoopublicschools.net.

Parents of new students, or students who are re-enrolling, should bring:

• Certified birth certificate

• Immunization record

• Two pieces of proof of residency such as mortgage statement, lease agreement, or utility bills (NO driver’s licenses or cell phone bills, please)

• Transcript (for high school enrollment)

• Hearing and vision screening (for kindergarten enrollment)

• Current IEP or Section 504 Plan (if applicable)

Plans for in-person and virtual learning for KPS schools are being developed and will be finalized by Aug. 3.

Spanish translation services will be available at all registration times. If additional language assistance is needed, please contact the Bilingual Department at (269) 337-1579 to make an appointment.
