Kalamazoo Public Schools issued the following announcement on July 10.
Kalamazoo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Rita Raichoudhuri will be releasing biweekly reports on the status of the district's work to develop back-to-school plans for the 2020-2021 school year.
At the July 9 KPS Board of Education meeting, Dr. Raichoudhuri delivered a presentation on the school district's efforts to develop three educational options for the fall: in-person learning, online classes, and a hybrid model, in which students would attend in-person classes for part of the week and participate in online classes for the remainder of their studies.
The board also heard a presentation on the results of several virtual community input sessions, and comments and concerns shared in emails, voicemails, and other communications with the district.
PDFs of both presentations are attached below.
