CITY OF WALKER: Time is running out to respond to the 2020 Census

City of Walker issued the following announcement on Sept. 17. 

It's hard to believe but the leaves will be falling across West Michigan once again! Monday, October 19th begins the City of Walker's Fall Leaf Recycling Program.

Hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Wednesdays will be 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. And, you can recycle your leaves Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The program runs through November 16th, but keep in mind it will be closed Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day.

The location is 4243 Remembrance Road, just behind City Hall, and you must prove you're a resident of Walker. You can buy biodegradable bags at the Department of Public Works, also located at 4243 Remembrance Road. Enter across from the library. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
