City of Walker issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
Commissioner Dan Kent was recognized for his longtime career serving his community during this evening’s Walker City Commission Meeting. Commissioner Kent retires after serving as a firefighter before making the transition to local government. Thank you to everyone who joined his family and fellow commissioners in this special evening, including Rep. Bill Huizenga, State Representative Mark Huizenga, State Senator Peter MacGregor, Walker Police Chief Greg Long and Walker Fire Chief Dave Pelton, among many others.
