Village of Sparta issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
Update on leaf pick-up:
The Department of Public Works Crew is picking up leaves placed at the curb until the end of November or the first heavy snowfall, which ever is earlier. As a reminder, please do not rake leaves into the street as this can clog storm drains and cause flooding in our community. Residents are advised to rake leaves to the curb as early as possible to ensure pick-up.
