CITY OF KENTWOOD: String Light and Tree Recycling Available Through Jan. 29

Kentwood

City of Kentwood issued the following announcement.

The Kentwood Department of Public Works will again accept string lights and trees for recycling this winter. Our annual tree recycling site is available for residents at the

Department of Public Works, 5068 Breton Ave. SE, now through Jan. 29 – except on Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and Jan. 18 when our offices are closed for holidays.

Residents may bring holiday trees to the site between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note: all decorations, lights, wires and other non-natural materials must

be removed from trees in advance.  Residents may utilize the box located near the front doors of the Public Works building to recycle string lights during the same hours as the tree

recycle site.

As a reminder, the City's brush and leaf drop-off sites are closed for winter. For any questions, please contact DPW at 616.554.0817.
