Planned Outage Part II for Northwest Portion of Walker and Alpine Township

City of Walker issued the following announcement on July 28.

Consumers Energy has scheduled part II of upgrades that will require a planned outage for parts of Walker and Alpine Township. Electric transmission company, ITC, requested the outage to upgrade equipment, ensuring the reliability of the high voltage electrical system.

The outage will happen for five hours overnight, beginning at 12:00 a.m. Sunday, August 15 and lasting until 5:00 a.m.

Should it be canceled due to weather, the backup date will be Sunday, August 22 from midnight to 5:00 a.m.

This planned outage is similar to the one that happened back in July and affects 2,343 customers in northwest portions of Walker and Alpine Township. Please click here for a detailed map.
