Title: Permanent Part-time general laborer
Schedule: 32 hr./week, Monday-Friday with some weekends and overtime opportunities
Pay Range: $14.00-$20.00/hr.
Deadline: Open until filled
The City of Rockford Department of Public Services is looking for a qualified individual to fill a Permanent Part-time position.
Position will require person with necessary education, training, technical knowledge, and experience necessary for assigned functions.
Will have option to achieve multiple licenses and certifications. CDL class A, S4 Distribution license, Firefighter I&II, and Medical First Responder.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a standard physical
- Some knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods, and procedures used in construction
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
- Must Pass a 6-month probationary period
