City of Wayne recently issued the following announcement.
We have some new volunteers!
At today's Goudy Park Vendor Fair organized by Jen Willet Bower, the Wayne Parks and Trails Committee knocked it out of " the park", signing up a dozen new volunteers for future park and trail clean-up efforts.
The team also had an opportunity to provide detailed information about the parks and trails in Wayne and did an amazing job.
Thank you to Councilman Alfred Brock for organizing donations from the National Kidney Foundation, Detroit Public Television and the Wayne Public Library, Jeremiah Webster for donating goodies and Ed Queen, for donating his time and efforts. A special thanks to Tina Marie Jean, Quentin Cleereman, Eric Cleereman Michelle Nedzlek and Lisa Nocerini for engaging with attendees and working the Parks and Trails table today.
