City of Cedar Springs issued the following announcement on Sept 27.

If interested, place your bid in a sealed envelope. Include your name, contact information, and your bid amount. Bring it to the Library, mail it, or drop it in the Library’s book drop off Main Street.

You have until Red Flannel Saturday, Oct. 2 at 4pm to place a bid. The sealed bids will be opened in public on the Library’s Balcony at 5pm. ⚪️The highest bidder gets this iconic awning! Bring a credit card or cash (no checks, please). Arrangements must be made for pickup.

The awning was placed on the Cherry Street Library circa 1952 and refurbished for free by Bassetts Body Shop in 2015.
