Tri County Area Schools issued the following announcement on Sept 28.
ATTENTION VIKING NATION! The following message was sent to bus 14-1, 16-1, & 16-2 parents via robocall & email - We are once again asking for your help and cooperation in helping our Tri County families. Together We Are TC!
Attention Parents of Buses 14-1 (#14), 16-1 (#4), and 16-2 (#10) -
After morning routes were completed today, we were informed that three more drivers will be out, required to isolate or quarantine themselves due to Covid-19. We apologize for the timing of this notice, but due to this circumstance we have no other choice but to immediately suspend bus routes 14-1 (bus #14), 16-1 (bus #4) and 16-2 (bus #10) beginning with this afternoon’s routes due to the lack of drivers and substitute drivers.
Parents will need to pick up or make arrangements to have your students picked up from school today and will need to plan to self-transport your students through Friday, October 8, 2021. If we are able to find substitute drivers for your child’s route, we will contact parents that the route is returning to its normal schedule.
Again, we apologize for the short notice and the inconvenience this causes everyone, especially our parents and students. If for some reason your student is not able to attend school due to the lack of transportation, we ask that you call your child’s school in order to get their schoolwork. If you have further questions, please feel free to call the ESC at 616-636-5454.
Regretfully,
Allen Cumings
