City of Rockford recently issued the following announcement.
Thanks to a generous donation from Mayor Ross and family, Rockford will be getting a large pine tree that will be planted in Garden Club Park. This large Christmas tree will be delivered tomorrow and decorated in time for the Holiday Lighting Ceremony on December 3.
The public is invited to watch the tree’s arrival, around 9am, as it is escorted downtown from North Main starting at Wolverine St where it will then turn west onto Bridge St. and be delivered to the park for planting.
