Village of Sparta issued the following announcement on Feb 25.
The Village is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Public Works Laborer and Maintenance Personnel. This position would be responsible for assisting with installing, maintaining, and/or repair of Village sanitary and storm sewers, water lines, streets, sidewalks, parks, buildings, trees, traffic signs. Operate and maintain a variety of vehicles and mechanical equipment.
A Commercial Driver’s License B (CDL-B) with air brakes is a requirement within 18 months of hiring. Continuing education opportunities are available for obtaining water/wastewater licensing. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package. On-call evenings and weekends are scheduled and a requirement of the position.
