Megaphone gd7b38fb34 1280

Cedar Springs Public Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 25.

The Red Hawk of the week is from our High School - Mr. Kapolka!

Mr. Kapolka has been in education for 22 years and part of Cedar Springs Public Schools for 9!  He has played a role in our high school as a history teacher and is also the head football coach.

His favorite area to teach is his AP US and European history classes. “Embracing the challenge of having to teach such board subject material in great depth, while being on a strict packing schedule” is something he loves.

Mr. Kapolka says he is good at four things: teaching history, coaching football, fishing, and cooking. His favorite thing to do outside of school is to take his children fishing (Jack 7, & Willoughby 5). During 2020, he went fishing 117 days in a row - rain, shine, hot or cold they were out on the water together having a blast!

Thank you Mr. Kapolka for being dedicated to teaching history, and coaching our athletes!
