According to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), 2021 saw a 74% increase in fraud victims over the age of 60 in 2021 over 2020. In Kent County we continue to see scams of different varieties. Please remember this and share with your loved ones in efforts to prevent more family and friends falling victim.
Scams present an unexpected PRIZE or PROBLEM. They PRESSURE you to act immediately. Scammers tell you to PAY in a specific way. So, take PAUSE before you act and talk to someone you trust before continuing.
