May 16th, 2022 will mark Arson K9 Ritzey's official retirement from the KCSO. She has served with handler Deputy Dale DeKorte since 2013 and sniffed over 250 fire scenes! 10-year-old Ritzey will enjoy her retirement back at home with Deputy DeKorte.
Meet Arson K9 Cheffrey. Cheffrey is a 2-year-old Goldador and just graduated from State Farm Insurance sponsored Maine Specialty Canine training along with handler Deputy Braxton Crowder. Just like Ritzey, Cheffrey will be assisting West Michigan area police and fire agencies in accelerant detection.
