Today, we remember and honor all those who perished on September 11th, 2001. We remember the first responders who rushed to the aid of a stranger on that day with no regard for themselves. Let us remember our past as we look to the future.
Today, we also remember our own Deputy Dave Cook who died on November 1st, 2021. Today, his name will be inscribed on the Memorial Wall at the Michigan Fallen Heroes Site in Oakland County during their annual September 11th Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial ceremony. This event recognizes Michigan’s police and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
To the family and friends of those we honor today, we remember. We have the watch from here.
