Deputies with the Crime Impact Team have been investigating a recent series of gas generators thefts. Deputies took information obtained from the initial investigation and were able to identify a suspect and vehicle used during the thefts. Records indicated the registered owner was actually on active parole.
CIT deputies conducted a parole compliance search at the suspect’s residence in Newhall in which the stolen property was located and recovered. The male was arrested and booked for grand theft, and remains in custody at this time. A female also contacted in the residence was issued a citation for an outstanding warrant.
