Hello from Godfrey Elementary!My name is Meghan, and this is my second school year as a community school coordinator. In this job no day looks the same as another. Some days I am helping students get a new backpack, t-shirt, or supplies. Other days I am working with parents who volunteer or talking about ways that we can support them. Once a month, I hold a meeting with our community partners, and I am so thankful for our team that contributes time and resources to support our school community.
At my school our students never fail to let me know how much they care. Throughout the day I get several smiles, hugs, and high-fives. I keep their cards and pictures proudly displayed on my bulletin board because they are such positive reminders of the students I have the privilege to work with.
