Don't think the little things matter? Kelsey DeWeerd, staff member at Southwood Elementary in the Kentwood Public Schools district, sent us this message:
"Just wanted to share how awesome my school's KSSN employee is! This student was having an extremely difficult time and Adam Swenson did not hesitate to get down on the ground at his level and just talk with him. He sat there for over ten minutes while he met this student where he was at. We're so thankful for Adam!"
While our Community School Coordinators do a number of things throughout the school day, both big and small, it's the building of trusting relationships that is always at the heart of their work.
