Get to know KSSN's Board of Directors!

Meet Ron Koehler, who has served on the KSSN Board since 2006, and holds the current position of Treasurer. Ron is the Superintendent for the Kent ISD, and has also served as the Assistant Superintendent of Organizational and Community Initiatives for 25 years! Prior to his work with the Kent Intermediate School District, Ron worked in government relations, public relations, communications, and held numerous administrative leadership roles. Ron strongly believes that actively soliciting and listening to student voice is critical to creating a better educational experience for all students. 

When asked why he supports KSSN and the community school model, Ron said, "The services and value KSSN has provided to our schools and community for more than 17 years are exceptional. It’s so important that each student receives equitable opportunities and the support and resources they need to be successful. KSSN plays a key role in making that happen and ensuring needs are met for students and their families. I’m honored to support such meaningful work.”

We are beyond fortunate to have the support of Ron Koehler and the entire Kent Intermediate School District. Not only were they instrumental in the founding of our organization, but they also provide invaluable support for us to this day, including providing office space, access to their amazing staff and resources, and ongoing guidance for our administrative team.
