Get to know KSSN's Board of Directors!
Meet Jenny Kimball James, who is serving for her second year on the KSSN Board. Jenny is the Deputy County Administrator for Kent County, and has served in city and county government for over 25 years. Her current work with the County focuses on health and human services, along with special projects that advance the Board of Commissioners' priorities. Jenny is passionate about meeting community needs and leading productive teams.
When asked why she supports KSSN and the community school model, Jenny said, "Our kids are our future. Bringing people and services into their lives that support their well-being and success puts a smile to my face. The expertise and kindness that the Community School Coordinators bring to a school building day in and day out make a difference!"
We are so grateful to have the support of Jenny James and Kent County. The County's Family and Children's Coordinating Council not only helped launch KSSN, but they also ensured that we followed the best practices of community school practitioners around the country, such as Children’s Aid and the National Center for Community Schools. Jenny has been an amazing addition to our Board of Trustees, providing an important voice and guiding hand, just as she does for our entire county!
