Blandford Nature Center recently issued the following announcement.
Garlic is the last crop we plant each season! It signals to us that the growing season is really starting to wind down. Garlic can be planted any time between mid-October and when the ground freezes, usually sometime in November. It will start growing roots in the fall, go dormant in the winter, and start growing again in the spring. Then, each clove planted will become a new head of garlic next year. It's been a rewarding plant to propagate, and neat to see the garlic multiply!
