At GoodBoy, we don't blindly guess when a behavior is likely to cease occurring when dealing with aggression...WE GATHER LOTS OF DATA! Then we continue to gather more!
When filling out data collection sheets, we always ask for extreme honesty so that we can appropriately form a great Behavioral Intervention Plan...this is definitely honest .This is the type of client that will progress quickly as they are not holding anything back.
The point of collecting data in dog training is to appropriately understand all angles and to allow the trainer (BCBA or behavioral therapists) to graph the maladaptive behaviors. With enough data, we can even create a time-line to when the likely extinction of the targeted behavior will occur.
A huge shout out to this couple for being so direct in their response and allowing us the ability to change the consequences of the behavior to something much more functional
