Monty has spent FIVE MONTHS in his foster home, and has been with us since July of 2022, that's 7 months in the shelter system this time around (he also spent some time with us in 2020). Monty is a good boy, his fosters adore him but would love for him to find a forever home soon, he deserves it.
Things Monty's foster has learned about him:
Monty isn't a huge fan of the snow unless you are taking him for a walk or car ride, he loves them both so much!
He has been learning lots of new tricks and sometimes tells you ALL about how he would rather you just give him the goods already (king of sass, and it. is. adorable).
He walks pretty good on a leash, sometimes he wants to sniff for 5 minutes so he needs a tug to keep him coming along. We started walking him with a gentle lead too and that works even better!
He likes to chew on his bones and is extremely food motivated. He likes food puzzles, and the "hide a treat," game.
He like to play tug of war and knows how to drop his toy when asked.
He is so happy to see you when you get home and is such a lover!
Hes lived with kids and does good but is not *currently* living with kids.
He meets new people well, a sniff and then he'll come to you for some booty scratches which are his favorite. He's mastered sitting in between your legs so you'll rub him.
He likes to sleep in, weekends it's a struggle getting his butt out of bed! He loves his morning snuggles in bed where he'll fall asleep in your arms! (He can also be a bit of a bed hog).
He will get the zoomies outside and lacks coordination... he almost always falls over in the grass when he's going fast or slips in the grass.
He is our absolute favorite!
If you made it this far... you can see that Monty seems like the perfect pooch, and we cannot understand how he still hasn't been scooped up. If he sounds like your kinda dog, give us a call or stop in at any time to learn more about him and schedule a time to meet him.
