Floppy is having a great time with one of our many "edible enrichment" items! We use fun things like paper bags filled with smelly treats, kibbles, and popcorn, and then rolled up to give a small challenge for the dogs to use their brains, and fill their stomachs.

Enrichment items are soooo important in the shelter setting to help keep our dogs sane by being able to give them a little bit of entertainment in their kennels.  These treats usually require a little bit more interaction to receive a reward (like tasty treats), which gives the dogs something fun to do in the stressful kennels.

We are in need of a few things to keep up with the variety of items we give (a variety is important, or else the activity loses its FUN factor ), we currently need:

Brown Paper Lunch BagsSqueeze CheeseBrothCanned pumpkinPaper platesSoft/chewy treats

Floppy and all of our dogs would soooo appreciate anything you can spare. Donations can be dropped off in our green bin right inside of our main doors.
