If there's anything Blimpie loves more than tennis balls it's -- well... actually there's nothing Blimpie loves more than tennis balls, but he does LIKE other things.
Laurie from Sniffing Out Solutions came into the shelter last week to teach the staff all about scent work! We learned lots of fun new games to play with our shelter dogs to keep their brain nice and busy. A tired dog, is a happy dog and SNIFFING keeps the mind and body working! Did you know that a dog can smell up to x 100,000 better than humans? We sure didn't! Thank you Laurie for coming out and giving us some great ideas, dogs like Blimpie are sure going to benefit from the broader range of scent work we will be able to implement into the shelter pups daily lives.
