Sen. Huizenga comments on death of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter

Sen. Mark Huizenga, R-Walker, expressed his condolences upon learning of the passing of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. In a statement, he said, "I was saddened to hear about the passing of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. She illustrated that you don't need to be an elected official or in office to have a tremendous impact on people's lives."

Huizenga acknowledged Carter's significant contributions to society, particularly through her work with the Carter Work Project. He stated, "Her work through the Carter Work Project has helped so many people across the globe, and her advocacy on mental health has helped knock down barriers to support and care."

The senator concluded his statement by offering his thoughts and prayers to President Carter and his family during this difficult time.
