In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. The KCSO recognizes the commitment and sacrifice of law enforcement officers in our communities. We especially honor those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. To the spouses, children, and families that walk beside them each day, thank you!
